Q. What does Audio Magic do?
A: Audio Magic convert older audio tapes and recordings, of various types, to modern formats such as CD or mp3.
Q. How do you transfer the tapes?
A. Your videos are played on professional audio players. The quality is excellent, the definition of the original recording is preserved.
Q. How long does a typical transfer take?
A: That depends upon the size of the job. A normal transfer will be completed within 10 working days. If you need it sooner, i.e. for a present, then we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Q. Can you edit the audio to extract an important part?
A: Yes we can, this is at extra cost. There is an additional charge for this service please phone for details.
Q. Do you put each tape on its own CD or combine them onto as few discs as possible?
A: We do whatever you require. As standard we will combine them onto the minimum amount of CD's as this is the most convenient way for you.
Q. Will I be charged for a tape that is blank?
A: No.

Q. Will my original recordings be returned?
A: Yes they will if this is what you select when ordering.
Q. How do you recycle the tapes?
A: The tapes are held for a few months to ensure you are happy with your conversion. The tape is blanked with a degaussing machine and stripped from the reels and cases which are sold to enthusiasts for a small sum rather than dispose of them. The blanked tape can be sold or will go for incineration in a 'waste-to-energy' plant.
